Since 1897, the Britannia Hotel has been the beating heart of northern Norway’s glimmering jewel, Trondheim. With historic roots in a dynamic city that seems to offer visitors and locals another Michelin-starred restaurant weekly, the Britannia set its eyes on delighting the eyes and stomachs of guests with an update that placed the fjord city’s gastro scene at the heart of its renovation. As part of its $150 million facelift in 2019, the Britannia sought new food and beverage equipment worthy of its six restaurants’ gastronomic prowess. In Craster’s Flow and Tilt Buffet Ranges, they found just that.

To evoke the storied history of the Britannia while embracing the ambitious gastronomic scene of contemporary Trondheim’s New Nordic flavours is a delicate act. Like Trondheim itself, the Britannia’s food and beverage offerings needed to be served with pedigreed and bold materials. Rendered in refined pale marble from the northernmost tip of Tuscany and fine Continental European oak, Craster’s Flow and Tilt Buffet ranges were selected for their elegant aesthetic, their innovative, intelligent design, and their material truth.
